Book Bloggers Rock…
Hi everyone –
Thanks to Chelsea and Toni for inviting me to be here
today!!! The Paranormal Addicts book
blog is such a fun place filled with super people…
The publishing world is changing so rapidly it can make your
head spin. With more bookstores closing,
and libraries cutting their hours, it elevates the importance of book
bloggers. There aren’t as many places to
go meet up to talk about books anymore, but most everyone has a way to connect
over the internet.
The media has been focused on Amanda Hocking for her massive
eBook sales for the past 2 years.
Everyone wants to know how she managed to reach so many readers without
a publisher behind her and without being shelved in brick and mortar stores.
And she credits book bloggers.
People who love books so much that they jump online and
create their own community to discuss books they love, and even some books they
didn’t love, are making all the difference now.
One blog at a time the word gets passed about good books!
And the paranormal romance fans are super about sharing
characters and books, finding new authors in the sea of books, and telling
people about them. Bloggers are carving
a much-needed niche in the publishing world.
Through their love of books, they’re helping to spread the word about
new books and authors and series that we might otherwise miss…
So thank you for all the hours and love you invest in the Paranormal
Addicts community, and to all the other Book Bloggers out there You Rock! Thank you so much for all you do for books
and authors!!!
What do you think about Book Blogs? Do you read books they recommend? Find new authors?

I love to connect with readers, so feel free to look me up!
Lisa’s novel, Night Walker, has just been released
in mass-market paperback!
He gave up his soul for a second chance to love her...
Two and a half centuries ago, Calisto Terana lost everything when a zealous priest murdered the woman he loved. Now, desperate for another chance to love her, he wants redemption for the mistake that cost her life.
She's haunted by dreams of her own death...
After catching her fiance with another woman, Kate Bradley returns to San Diego to clear her head. The last thing she needs is romance, but after meeting Calisto she's drawn to him in ways she doesn't understand.
They've waited in the shadows for centuries...
Calisto has no doubt Kate is the reincarnation of his lost love, but the Fraternidad Del Fuego Santo has a new watcher with dark ambitions of his own. As old enemies reemerge and a new threat arises, the betrayal that enslaved Calisto to the night might destroy the only woman he's ever loved again.

Thats a hard question.. *waves* Hi Lisa~! I guess, it would be that they have lived long enough, they'd be able to tell me my history. I love history and learning about things. Immortals tend to have a bad side to them.
ReplyDeleteAnd book bloggers, yes. I think their good in this day and age. It got me into Thea Harrison, I saw the book, looked her up online and found out some interesting stuff. She had just started the series so it wasn't well known yet. But I really did love it. Leanne and Toni have also recommended books by blogging about it. So they are good to have, and help promote others. I always like to know what I'm reading before I actually get the book. I don't want to be disappointed. So book bloggers are awesome.
I think it would be incredible to listen to an immortal tell you history that they lived through! :) You're right!
DeleteAnd that is so cool that you discovered Thea Harrison from a book blog! :)

I'd say I'm addicted to book bloggers! Not a blogger myself, but I totally enjoy spending hours a day browsing and reading about books, plus adding them to my GR shelf and my Amazon wishlist OR just goin ahead and buyin them right then. My husband is so very glad I have a Kindle! I am too, but I do still enjoy picking up a paperback every once in awhile *whispers* especially if it's a signed copy....
ReplyDeleteImmortals....hmmm, well, I've read that they're always drop dead gorgeous! hahahaha Now my minds blank because I keep wanting to scroll up and stare at a couple of book covers! :)
Ha! I love my Kindle too Sebrina!!! :)
DeleteIsn't it funny that you never read about an ugly immortal? Maybe they get more gorgeous with age? LOL
Thanks for commenting!!!
Lisa
PS - I get distracted by Night Walker's cover all the time! LOL
I love Immortals, they are mysterious and they r usually half & half, a little of a bad side and a little of a romantic, sweet side. Of course they r sexy and strong to !!
ReplyDeleteI agree Crystal!!! I love the danger that they could kill you, but they choose to love you instead! *swoon*

Lisa :)
I love the fact that they have 100s of years of history. To have been part of some of the most amazing times would be a blessing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.
Ashley
I agree Ashley!!! It would be super cool!!!

I love that they have had time to collect alot of knowledge and experiences. It would be fascinating to talk to someone who has seen all that. Yes I do follow blogs and read the book I've seen reviewed there. Congrats on the release, looking forward to reading this!
ReplyDeleteI agree Laurie!!! I'd love to hear them tell me about seeing Mozart conducting his operas, or listening to Lincoln give the Gettysburg address, etc... Amazing! :)
DeleteTHanks for commenting!
Lisa :)
What I love about Immortals is that they tend to be dark and mysterious, most of them tend to be strong sexy men.
ReplyDeleteSo true Mandy!!! You have great taste! LOL
DeleteThanks for commenting!
Lisa :)
OK I see two questions LOL
ReplyDelete1. I LOVE book blogs. I blog, but also love reading other book blogs, finding authors other bloggers I respect recommend etc. It is great!
2. Immortals....mmmm...I just think it broadens the knowledge of what they know so much. From people and civilizations etc. It is really neat that authors can incorporate that into a character!
That's exactly why I love to write immortals Annie!!! I love that they've experienced history firsthand and you can incorporate that into your stories... SO cool!!! :)

Lisa :)
That they can live forever and that most of the time they're super sexy ;) And super romantic and really committed to getting that one girl! :D
ReplyDeleteI do love book blogs, considering I have one..hehe :) And I definitely find new books through them, as well as finding out new books through the many friends I met online (: My goal one day is to be that one book blogger where everyone is like "Oh her? I love her blog!" hehe (:
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your book blog Ella!!! :) Sounds like a super goal! :)
DeleteAnd I think immortals finally finding their love after waiting lifetimes is super romantic too!
Thanks for commenting!
Lisa :)
Book blogs is an excellent way on finding new authors to try. Thanks to blogs I tried out Jill Shalvis's Lucky Harbor books which I absolutely ADORE!!
ReplyDeleteWhat do I like most about immortals - Wow, what a question. Maybe because they are much more than what us mere mortals are.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool that book blogs introduced you to Jill Shavis! :)
DeleteI think the cool powers that immortals have are fun to read about too!
Thanks for commenting...
Lisa :)
Immortals can usually do whatever they want. And while it might be a curse sometimes I envy that they live long enough to do so many things. I lament often that I will never do all I want to in this life.
ReplyDeleteI like finding new authors and genres on bookblogs
ReplyDeleteI agree it would be cool to be immortal and have the time to visit all the places we'd like to, etc. I'd be blue watching my friends and family age and pass away though! That would ruin immortality for me...
DeleteThanks for commenting! :)
Lisa
What I love about immortals is that they get to see the world change and evolve. And they get to do crazy shit without having to think is this going to kill me lol!!!!
ReplyDeletethanks for the awesome giveaway!!!

I agree Victoria!

Lisa
I love how most that ive read have learned to avoid some of the mistakes that theyve made in the past
ReplyDeleteTrue! :) I love when they learn from the heroine... Scenes where the immortal laughs and wonders how long its been since he's smiled, always melt my heart! :)
DeleteThanks for commenting!
Lisa
What I love most about immortals relates to how complex they are. Living forever requires them to be more cunning, to think several steps ahead of their mortal counterparts...and usually makes them better lovers.
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm they've got lifetimes of experience to please their mate, right? I love that too! LOL
DeleteThanks for commenting!
Lisa :)
Immortals... hmmmm I wish I was one.. not just for the immortal part, but because they usually are strong, powerful, sexy, etc...
ReplyDeleteAs long as my family and friends could be immortal with me, I'd be willing, but otherwise, I'd rather not live forever... :)
DeleteThanks for commenting!
Lisa :)
I think what I love about immortals is the fact that they can live their life knowing that they have much longer than we do. So they tend to use this to gain knowledge and explore their strengths to be more cunning and powerful.
ReplyDeleteApril K.
foreverbama@gmail
They're definitely more cunning and powerful.... I love that too! :)
DeleteTHanks for commenting April!
Lisa :)
What is there not to love about immortals?
ReplyDeleteAmen Jen!!! LOL
DeleteThanks for commenting!
Lisa :)
I love the mystery behind them. They always seem to have secrets of a darker past. It makes them exciting!
ReplyDeleteGood point Christina!!! Their dark past definitely makes them exciting and mysterious! Yum! :)
DeleteTHanks for commenting!
Lisa
Their power, and mysterious side of them. And they get to live forever.... If I could be immortal, I'd have a hell of a time!
ReplyDeleteI love Immortals because they've lived through so much they can be very intense and intelligent characters.
ReplyDeleteI love the mystery of immortals!
ReplyDeleteThat you don't have to worry about losing your love!
ReplyDeleteI love the element of danger that often comes with the arrogance of immortality. On the flip side, I love the respect they have for the fragility (not sure if that's a real word - lol) that is life.
ReplyDeleteQuestion for Lisa: What was the last book that you read that made you say 'Seriously. I can do juch better than that!'? :-)
Thanks for the Int'l giveaway.
I love Immortals because most of the males are alphas with the I don't give a sh** attitude and are not afraid to speak their minds. That is one of the many reasons I love Immortals!!
