Who am I? I'm a mild-mannered retail manager from northern Texas. At least that's what I try to tell myself. Who are we? We are college students by day and bored, underpaid retail employees by night, with one seriously weird—but thankfully also fun—boss. We've always thought Jade was a little unusual, though she hides it pretty well under all the sarcasm. Who am I? I am a man lost in time, a prisoner of my own mind. They tell me I was born into this world in ancient Greece, though I have no recollection of those days. In truth, I have forgotten more days of my long life than I can remember. I am nephilim (or a dark angel, to some) and these memory lapses are both gift and curse to my kind. There are some who say we have no hearts, no souls...but I have found my heart in the arms of my beloved Jandra. If only I'd been able to make her understand sooner. Now she is gone from me, and I fear she is in danger, a danger I cannot let her face alone...

Who am I? I'm a mystery wrapped in an enigma, and all that fun stuff. Don't worry, I'm just as confused as you are. When you spend more of your time in a dream than in the waking world, it can be hard to keep the facts straight. But I'm the only one with all the pieces of this puzzle, and I've got a job to do—to keep Jandra Maxwell alive at all costs. Which would be a lot easier without that bothersome nephilim hanging around, but never let it be said I don't enjoy a challenge. When she closes her eyes, it's not him she sees, but me...
